A perfect itinerary for your first 100 km in gravel, while discovering the most beautiful paths of the department. You will follow the favorite routes of local cyclists that will lead you to Brissac-Quincé and its castle, through the vineyards of Layon, and along the Loire River to Chalonnes-sur-Loire.
The first part of this route is almost entirely on gravel until Chalonnes-sur-Loire. You will pass through several vineyards of Anjou, such as those in Brissac-Quincé. You won’t have time to get bored as the surfaces constantly change, and the landscapes will carry you away.
Before starting the second part, which is more on paved roads, it is recommended to take a little break in Chalonnes-sur-Loire; it’s the perfect place! If you prefer to continue, don’t worry, you will find some guinguettes near La Possonière, Savennières, or even at Lac de Maine.
