Physical & technical
From Malaucène, discover a portion of the ascent of Mont Ventoux by gravel up to Col du Comte, before descending back down via the main road. The majority of the climb is on a wide gravel path that ascends gradually.
There are no highly technical sections, but I recommend using tires with a width of at least 40mm. Make sure to bring enough water and food, as there are no opportunities for refueling along the trails. In the fall, wear bright colors during the hunting season. This year, in Vaucluse, the hunting season runs from September 10, 2023, to February 29, 2024.
If you feel like continuing to climb all the way to the summit, you can follow the main road of Mont Ventoux. Here is the route: Mont Ventoux from Beaumont-du-Ventoux
