This gravel route will take you for a beautiful adventure in the northeast of Ibiza. You can start this ride from Sant Antoni de Portmany, but we actually started both routes from the hotel we stayed for two nights, called Hostal la Torre. If you also start from there, the first two kilometers are a bit chaotic as we took the sea front trails instead of the road. However, even if you might walk a few times, the view is worth it!
At kilometer 9 you will just keep going straight to reach the road. During our ride, we turned left and went for a view point at Puig d’en Guillem. However, a little bit further there were a closed gate indicating “biological reserve” as we were stuck we decided to go through but we ended up in a type of residence (not sure it was actually a “biological reserve”😅). We then ended up stuck again at a closed gate and had to climb little walls. The route below is corrected from this little surprise 😉
Puenta de Piedra is a must see, this arch is located at the end of a gravel descent, where you might need to carry your bike has it is too technical for a gravel bike. However, I promise you, it is much worth it! Make sure to take a windbreaker as all the point of view are open to the sea and the weather can be very windy.
This route is a little bit more technical at some point, I’d recommend to do it if you have more experience. The way back to Sant Antoni de Portmany is more chill with smoother paths and roads. Overall, it is another beautiful gravel route in Ibiza. Must do if you’re in the area! 🙂
