Accessibility and route

This hike, although short, is accessible to everyone as the trails are not so technical. The route is divided into four distinct sections, with four successive ‘bumps’ that require some effort. Although the ascent can be challenging at times, it remains accessible to hikers of all levels, as long as you take your time.

The start of the hike

The starting point is located at the Col d’Ordino parking area. Once parked, you will follow the signs pointing to Pic de Casamanya. The trail is well-marked with yellow markers, making it easy to stay on the right path.

The different parts

  • First Part:You’ll start with a section through the woods, with a gentle slope and little elevation gain, perfect for warming up.
  • Second Part: Upon exiting the forest, the incline increases, and you’ll face a first major ascent, an impressive hill to climb.
  • Third and Fourth Parts:After overcoming this first ascent, you’ll still have two similar hills to tackle. These last sections require sustained effort, but the view from the summit is well worth it.
Tips and practical information
  • Altitude: Pic de Casamanya peaks at 2,740 meters, providing a natural lookout over the entire region.
  • Tip: Be sure to bring a windbreaker or an extra warm layer for the summit.
  • Recommended Equipment: Hiking boots are essential. Don’t forget to bring enough water and sun protection, as the second part of the route is exposed
